Jack and Kyle's Story - or - Adventures in Baby Making

Whew, where do I even begin such a story?  It doesn't start with Kyle's passing.  It doesn't start with the boys' premature birth at 27 weeks, 3 days.  It doesn't start with Jack's water breaking at 20 weeks.  It doesn't start with random unexplained bleeding in the first trimester.  It doesn't start with round 3 of the second try at IUI.  It doesn't start with a miscarriage.  It doesn't start with round 1 of the first try at IUI.  It doesn't start with finally getting insurance that covers the drugs I need to do IUI.  It doesn't start with insurance approval only to find out it doesn't cover the drugs needed for IUI.  It doesn't start with 3 failed rounds of Clomid.  It doesn't start with - well, wait a minute.  Maybe that is where it starts.  Or maybe that's just what I will call the beginning.

As you can see, this is more that just about Kyle's passing and raising Jack.  I truly believe there is so much I have been through that others can benefit from hearing.  As you can see though, there is a lot to go over.  Do I start at the beginning and work my way forward?  This will take some time.  Sit a spell while we work through this together.

For now:
Jack and Kyle - 27 weeks, 3 days
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jack and Kyle were born April 8, 2009 at 27 weeks, 3 days. Jack had been in trouble since week 20 when his water broke. Had it not been for Kyle and his full sac of water we would have lost both boys. The doctors were amazed at what good shape the boys were in for their early arrival and traumatic pregnancy. The boys continued to grow and thrive each day. Then the unimaginable happened. At 23 days Kyle developed NEC; a case with never before seen aggressiveness. He was gone within 24 hours. Kyle is our little hero. Read more of Jack and Kyle's story at their CaringBridge site.
